Thank you very much for teaching the Ayurvedic cooking class, it was just what I needed to inspire me to get back to my vegetarian upbringing, and of course much more!!!! I had no idea Indian recipes were so easy, but you just made it so simple, and took my fear of using the wrong spice combination or wrong amount of something (or whatever I was thinking) away! and taught me that as long as I honor and am aware of what I am cooking and use the freshest ingredients everything will be ok, and delicious as well!!!!!!

I want to thank you for teaching such a beautiful class. It was truly eye opening and spoke to truths that I had already begun to explore on my own. As I think I mentioned to you, every class there was a point where I was nearly brought to tears. This past year has been one of growth for me and my relationship with food and emotions. I believe this class has started a new chapter for me. I am excited to see where it takes me. I felt like it was a good way to clean out the old and have a fresh start.

A few years ago, I discovered ayurveda and ayurvedic cooking for the first time through your vegetarian ayurvedic cooking class at the open center in new york. You so inspired me to keep learning, that since then, I have completed a 6 month ayurvedic nutrition course, I also did a distance learning with Vasant Lad's Ayurvedic Institute, and as a result, am a holistic health counselor certified through AADP. Now, I often think back to our class as I'm cooking and remember the first time I made hummus, chai, broccoli and chickpea flour cakes, and mint chutney with you.
Many thanks for igniting my interest in this diet style with your gentle and encouraging teaching skills.
